MARK Molesley admitted there was a bit of relief as the Weymouth boss saw his side edge out Street in a 1-0 win in their FA Trophy second qualifying round replay.
Abdulai Baggieโs 73rd minute goal proved to be the difference in a well-fought contest between the two sides.
Molesley said: โWe definitely deserved the win. I suppose there is a little bit of relief that we got the job done.
โThe boys were resolute and professional and got the job done.
โThey finished what they started on Saturday so I was really pleased.โ
Street forced the replay after coming back from 2-0 down at half-time on Saturday to draw 2-2, with strikes from Leigh Bailey and David OโHare after goals from Ben Thomson and Jake McCarthy had given the Terras the lead.
Molesley took extra delight in the clean sheet, as he said: โI think straight away we have won the match with a clean sheet.
โI thought we were professional throughout the game and we have kept a clean sheet.
โI thought in the first half at the weekend we were very good and created a hat-full of chance and we should have never been in the position of drawing the game.
โWe got what we deserved on Saturday, we got complacent and we got punished.
โThey took us to a replay and we got the job done.โ
The Terras now go onto host National League South side St Albans City in the third qualifying round.
Speaking about that tie, Molesley said: โVery tough opposition and one that we are relishing.
โThat is what we want, we want to have a go at the big teams and test ourselves against higher opposition.
โThat is exactly why we fought so hard to win because the chance to go and pit your wits against a so called bigger, higher club are the challenges we are after.โ
Weymouth travel to Kings Langley in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier South on Saturday (3pm).
