WEYMOUTH FC striker Darran Rowbotham helped customers at ASDA to score £1 million at a store promotion.
Former Welsh international Darran helped entrants to hit the magic million target in the ‘kick for charity’ event, which was sponsored by Walkers and Pepsi.
Event co-ordinator Kim Llewelyn said the idea was for customers at the Weymouth store to shoot at special targets which could lead to a cash prize of £1 million.
She said: “Anyone who hit the £1 million target would have to answer a question about football. Three people hit the target, but only one went through to the next round. The day was great fun.”
