Chris Allen: Chris joined Weymouth in late December 2016 and made his debut at home to Biggleswade Town on 29th December.
Chris Allen started his career with the youth set-up at Swindon Town. The midfielder progressed through the ranks and was involved in the Swindon team that reached the Quarter-Finals of the FA Youth Cup.
While his fellow youth players were being released, Allen was kept on by then manager Paul Sturrock with a two year professional contract. Allen’s first team debut came in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
This is Chris Allen’s second spell at the club after playing for the Terras during the 2009/10 season.

 

Calvin Brooks: He stated his career with local rival Dorchester Town in Conference South . The central defender joined the Terras on loan from Yeovil Town at the start of 2014/15 season. His contract with the Glovers finished at the end of January whereon Calvin opted to join the club on a permanent basis.

 

Aston Butcher: A young centre half, Aston a regular in the club reserve set up is looking to break into the first team this term.

 

Mark Cooper: Another new addition to the Terras defence at the start of the season. Mark came through the youth ranks at Bristol Rovers. He joined Frome Town for whom he made 152 appearances over two spells with the Robins, The 23-year-old swept the club’s end-of-season awards last season.

 

Jordan Copp: A player who can play in midfield or defence, Copp was a member of Plymouth Argyle’s School of Excellence before signing a pro contract in 2012. Sadly he made just one appearance for the Pilgrims before being released. He has since played for Frome Town, Truro City and Saltash United before signing for the Terras at the start of the 2014/2015 season.

 

Charlie Davis: An AFC Bournemouth product, Charlie was formerly with Poole Town and Dorchester Town before joining the Terras in the close season.

 

Toby Down: A promising young centre-back, Toby Down joined Weymouth from Exeter City for a month’s loan in January 2017. Toby made his debut in the 6-1 away victory against King’s Lynn Town. Down left the club mid-February after his loan expired.

 

Dean Evans: A combative but creative midfield player who can also play upfront. Dean joined the Terras in February 2015 from Evo Stick Premier rivals Paulton Rovers after impressing during a league encounter between the two sides. Dean’s previous clubs include Plymouth Argyle, Paulton Rovers, Welton Rovers & Frome Town.

 

Stuart Fleetwood: Stuart Fleetwood joined Weymouth on loan from Bath City in October 2016, he made his debut for The Terras away to Kettering Town. In February 2017, he extended his loan to run until the end of the season. Fleetwood started his career at Cardiff City at the age of 12 when he joined the club’s youth programme, and eventually made one first team appearance in two and a half seasons as a professional. Fleetwood has enjoyed a career of league and conference football playing for clubs such as Hereford United, Forest Green Rovers, Luton Town and Eastleigh.

 

Connor Jevon: A striker who came to Weymouth in 20013/14 season from Poole Borough. Conor has been a regular in our reserves and is looking to make the step up into the senior side this year.

 

Dane James: A 16 year old defender who has joined the club this summer having been scouted by the club from local youth football and was captain of the county side. Dane shows a lot of promise for the future.

 

Sam Jordan: A prolific striker with over 100 goals at lower league level with Bradford Town in the Toolstation League, Sam is a new face for Terras faithful at the start of the 2016/17 season to idolise.

 

Billy Lowes: Billy signed for the Bournemouth academy as a ten year old and spent 4 years there before his release with a knee injury. A promising boxer, he decided to return to football and after a full recovery joined Yeovil Town’s academy, spending a full season there before the club abandoned it’s youth programme . Billy joined Poole Town in 2013 where he made 13 appearances for the first team and became the Young Player of the Year going on loan to Wincanton and AFC Totton. Joined the Terras at the start of last season and has made an immediate impression.

 

Jason Matthews: The club’s goalkeeper and player-manager. Jason returned to the Terras at the start 2013-14 and became player-manager in December 2013. In his career he has played for Bristol Rovers (youth), Nuneaton Borough, Exeter City, Aberystwyth, Clevedon Town, Weymouth (first spell – 2002-08) Eastleigh, Bath City and Dorchester Town. In his second spell with the club he has made over 400 appearances and managed a goal in a Football Conference match with Southport in March 2007. Named in the Non-League Paper’s squad of the year for 2013-14.

 

Tom McHale: A young goalkeeper signed on loan from Truro City in December 2017. Tom made his debut at home to St Ives Town and continued to impress so much that he had his loan extended until the end of the season.

 

Mark Molesley: An England C international with 4 caps Mark is a vastly experienced midfielder signed by the Terras in July 2015 following his release by Aldershot Town. Mark has stepped up as player coach and has impressed with his professional attitude. Mark started his career with Hayes, coming through their youth system. Spells with Cambridge City, Aldershot Town, Stevenage Borough and Grays Athletic before being transferred to Bournemouth. He made his debut for Bournemouth, away to Shrewsbury Town, in the 4-1 defeat in the League Two on 18 October 2008. Molesley signed for Exeter City on 18 January 2013. On 30 April 2013, he was released by Exeter due to the expiry of his contract and joined Aldershot Town. Mark made 40 appearances for the Shots last term and scored 8 goals.

 

Dom Panesar-Dower: Dom Panesar-Dower is a young midfielder who was promoted to the first team after impressing in the reserves. Dom made his debut in the 6-1 victory away to Basingstoke Town in February 2017.

 

Aaron Rodriguez: Aaron joined Weymouth from Western League side Gillingham Town having previously played for Frome Town. Aaron has the ability to wow the crowd with his trickery and offers a different dimension to the Terras.

 

Tiago Sa: Having joined the club pre-season on trial after his release from Yeovil Town Tiago has shown great promise and will compete for a spot at left back.

 

Dan Smith: Smithy makes a welcome return to club having played under previous Manager Brendon King. A winger with an eye for goal and an abundance of ability to turn a game. Dan has previously played for Truro City, Dorchester Town and Tiverton.

 

Chris Shephard: A winger who made a number of appearances for Exeter City, who he joined in 2005 – working his way through the youth set up. Leaving the Grecians when they were relegated from the Football League in 2012 he joined Eastbourne Borough. After two seasons in Sussex he signed for the Terras in July 2014. Became a firm fans favourite and scooped a clean sweep of player of the year trophies at last season’s awards.

 

Ben Thomson: Thomson Last year’s top scorer will be looking to continue on the goal trail that made him such a popular player amongst the fans. An uncompromising forward with pace and power will be looking to improve on last year’s efforts. Previously played for Gillingham Town and Frome.

 

Ashley Wells: Ash is a local boy and can play anywhere across the back line, a skilful defender with plenty of pace and enthusiasm. This is his fourth season with the club, having signed from Portland United in February 2012.

 

Jake Wannell: A full back who came to the club at the start of 2014/2015 season from Exeter City where he progressed through the Grecian’s youth set up. Had a spell on loan with Chippenham Town during the 2013-14 season. He went travelling to Australia in January and Manager Jason Matthews was delighted when Jake returned prior to the commencement of pre-season training.

 

Stewart Yetton: “Yetti” is a striker who started his career with Plymouth Argyle – and having a loan spells with the Terras in 2004 – before playing for Tiverton Town and joining Truro City, where he was the club’s leading goal scorer before joining Weymouth for the 2013-14 season. He made himself an instant favourite with the Terras fans as he scored a total of 41 goals in all competitions in his first season and was joint Southern League Premier Division scorer with 28 League ~& Cup goals last term. Club Captain.

 

Stéphane Zubar: Stéphane began his career at Caen, but was released after loan spells at Championnat National club Pau and Belgian First Division side Brussels. He spent the 2009-10 season with Romanian Liga I club Vaslui awho won the 2010 Cupa României Final. Zubar signed for Plymouth Argyle in November 2010, and moved on to AFC Bournemouth in September 2011. He was loaned out to Bury in January 2013, Port Vale in September 2014, York City in November 2014. He returned to York on loan in August 2015, but returned to AFC Bournemouth after he suffered a cruciate ligament injury. Stephane was released by the Cherries at the end of 2015/16 season.

 

Lloyd Beals: Physiotherapist Lloyd has just complete his degree at UWE. Having played for the club’s Reserve side he stepped up into the role of physio and works as the club strength and conditioning coach.

 

Paul Maitland: Goalkeeping coach – Paul works with all of the clubs goalkeepers and also continues works alongside manager Jason Matthews on all aspects of the club.

 

Micky Greeno: Coach – Micky has played for the Terras as well as several other clubs and is now a valued member of the “backroom” staff.
