Weymouth Football Club is delighted to announce Vision140.
Following a detailed strategic review, internal reflection, and discussions, Vision140 has been created to set the foundation and direction of travel as Weymouth Football Club approaches its 140th anniversary. It represents a commitment to the long-term future of Weymouth Football Club and a recognition of the responsibility to protect, strengthen, and grow this club for future generations.
Vision140 is built around sustainability, unity, and identity. It is about creating a club that people are proud to be part of and sets out 5 commitments to fans & our local community:

Commitment 1: We will set new standards for how the club operates.
We will raise the standard of how Weymouth FC operates, communicates, presents itself, and takes accountability. Supporters should see a club that feels more organised, more consistent, more transparent, and more professional in everything it does. That means clearer updates, long term planning, improved presentation, increased fan forums, stronger website information, and a public Vision140 progress tracker. Setting new standards means professionalism should be visible in the way the club looks, speaks, acts, and delivers every day.

Commitment 2: We will protect the club's future.
We will run Weymouth FC in a way that balances football ambition with long-term financial health.
Every decision we make will consider the future of the club, not just the season ahead. Success on the pitch is important, but it must be supported by a stronger, more sustainable club off it.
That means building stronger commercial, community, and football partnerships, making better use of our stadium, growing our retail offering, and creating sponsorships that deliver value for both the club and our partners.
Commitment 3: We will enhance the matchday experience.
We will make matchdays at the Bob Lucas Stadium an experience supporters look forward to .
We want the matchday experience to feel welcoming, organised, enjoyable, and connected to the town we represent. Supporters should see clearer information, smoother entry, improved signage, better hospitality, stronger family activity, and visible improvements where possible.
We want the Bob Lucas Stadium to feel more alive on matchdays through local entertainment, youth team involvement, community features, and more opportunities to showcase local businesses.
Commitment 4: We will create one aligned club.
We will bring every part of Weymouth FC closer together, so the club feels connected, consistent, and united in how it works.
The men’s teams, women’s teams, youth teams, coaches, staff, volunteers, supporters, and partners should all feel part of one club, not separate groups moving in different directions.
A major part of this will be developing a complete football pathway for both boys and girls, creating and supporting more youth teams, and building clearer routes into senior men’s and women’s football.
Commitment 5: We will be a force for good in Weymouth.
We will use football, community activity, and responsible investment to make a positive difference in Weymouth.
The club should be more than a team people watch on a Saturday. It should help bring people together, create opportunities, support local pride, and contribute to a better Weymouth for all of us.
That means stronger relationships with schools, grassroots clubs, local businesses, charities, community groups, pubs, restaurants, families, young people, and residents across the town.
