The Annual general meeting of Weymouth Football Club Ltd took place on Thursday 19th September at the Wessex lounge.
Mr. Terry Bennett was unanimously re elected as chairman, and Mr. Mike Archer and Mr. David Higson were re elected as vice chairs.
Considering the financial upheaval that had beset the club the board through frugal financial planning had turned the previous years loss of over £125,000 to just £50K for year ending May 2002.
The chairman speech was upbeat and positive and was warmly received by the attendant shareholders.
Mr. Bennett did however stress that although the club’s budget had been slashed, gates of over 800 were required to ensure financial stability.
