THE last two weeks have summed up the Terras’ season, according to defender Ashley Wells.
Weymouth lost 3-0 against Slough Town on Tuesday having gone behind after just four minutes, and Wells said it was a night when the team just didn’t click.
He said: “It wasn’t a good night, we just didn’t get going.
“Sometimes you can prepare for one or two having a bad game, but when the whole team does there’s not much you can do. We couldn’t string a pass together.
“Once we conceded we panicked and it becomes hard to play when you’re nervous.”
Wells continued to discuss the season as a whole and says they can now play “without fear”.
He said: “The last two weeks has been symbolic of our season. We beat someone 6-1 and then we lose to a bottom four team. Away from home we haven’t been great.
“We know the play-offs is a long shot but now we play with no fear, and maybe that is a blessing in disguise because there’s no reason to be nervous.”
