Terras’ manager Mark Molesley spoke to Josh Barton of theterras.com ahead of the trip to Bishop’s Stortford.
Josh Barton: Firstly, you must have been pleased with the terrific performance at Frome on Wednesday.
Mark Molesley: I was delighted without a shadow of a doubt. It was the response we wanted. We were bitterly disappointed with Saturday and we did want to put that right. I was delighted with the way the team applied themselves on Wednesday night. It’s up to us now to remember what we did correctly against Frome and also what we did not so correctly in the previous game.
JB: It’s another away game, this time against Bishop’s Stortford. What are you expecting from the Blues?
MM: This will be another really difficult challenge. I think they have been unlucky in the games they’ve played so far. They were looked at by a few people as one of the favourites for promotion at the start of the season and they have a good catchment area there in terms of picking up good players. We will need to show the same levels that we gave on Wednesday.
JB: There was a bit of a surprise when you included three new signings on Wednesday. How impressed were you with the impact all three on the team?
MM: I think they all had a massive impact. We managed to use our contact base and get these players in. I have to give credit to Gaz Stewart. He came out of retirement for this match and I would like to say a huge thanks to him because it’s not an easy thing to do, and to come in and do what he did for us was brilliant. He was fantastic and he put in a massive performance for us. Not only did he put in a performance in goal but he was a huge calming influence in the changing room and out on the pitch for the rest of the players.
JB: Finally, any early team news?
MM: We will be pretty much as we were. Mark Travers will be back with us and that is obviously good news. We are getting near to full strength now but we aren’t quite there yet. There are no new injury concerns.
