WEYMOUTH assistant-manager Tom Prodomo praised the Terras’ players after the Bob Lucas Stadium outfit returned to pre-season training at Blandford School.
In the break, Weymouth have signed the likes of Warren Bentley and Tony Lee, with Prodomo delighted that the club’s acquisitions have soon taken to life as a Terra.
He told Echosport: “They’ve settled in really well already. That’s no surprise as we’ve got such a great group of lads to work with – it’s definitely a smooth transition.
“We’ve got to straight away start the physical element and tactical. Playing at Weymouth is a massive privilege and responsibility.
“All the players have their fitness in their hands and they’ve all come back looking great.
“As coaching staff, that’s a real benefit, especially in non-League football, the games come so thick and fast it’s important to get the preparation done as early as we can.”
Prodomo added that the Terras’ backroom contingent had been hard at work behind the scenes.
He said: “From a coaching point of view the main jobs are really to make sure that the boys get away fit and healthy and can be in contact with Tori (Coltart, physio) during the summer, and then make sure they get their summer plans.
“Then it’s a case of planning sessions and making sure the facilities are there when we need them, and to discuss adding players.”
