In the first ever meeting between the two teams it sees 2nd play 3rd in a huge clash with Weymouth looking for the perfect response following on from their 1-2 defeat to Basingstoke last Saturday.
Speaking to Billy Neale of theterras.com manager Mark Molesley said, “Match preparations have been good, we’ve had two good days of training and the players are looking to bounce back with a victory.
“We know that last week wasn’t good enough, especially in the first 60 minutes. The last 30 we created enough chances that probably would have won 2 games but it just wasn’t to be.”
Following on and when asked about playing against teams in the top 5, Molesley responded by saying; “Look, they’re obviously a good team and it’s probably going to be one of the toughest tests of the season.
“But these games bring the best out of us and we’re fully prepared for a big game that we want to win to keep us in and around the top of the table.”
Met police come into this game 2nd in the form table in the last 5 games, only behind Farnborough but in the last 20 games they top the form guide.
Meanwhile Weymouth come into this game having won 3 and drawn 1 of their previous 4 away games in the league. 0-1, 3-4 and 0-2 wins against Dorchester, Salisbury and Gosport respectively. With the solitary draw coming in a 3-3 scoreline against top of the table Taunton.
In contrast Metropolitan Police have won their 9 last league home games, but have not played since succumbing to a 3-0 defeat away to Wimborne on the 29th of January.
