ADEOYE Olumuyiwa is looking forward to playing a team from his home county when Weymouth host Southend United tomorrow (7.45pm).
Olumuyiwa is looking forward to the challenge of taking on the League One outfit, new club of ex-Terra Brandon Goodship.
He said: “I am looking forward to Southend, I am from Essex, so Southend is a nice game.
“I am looking forward to playing a professional team, it will be a nice way to test ourselves and see where we are.
“If I can get a goal then wow, we want to win obviously, but if I can get a goal then that will be a good accomplishment.”
Southend reside in the third tier of English football, but Olumuyiwa has experience of third division football over in the United States, where he featured for the New Orleans Jesters.
He said: “That was decent out there, I went there two summers ago – the standard is good in America. They are getting better but I am focused on Weymouth at the moment, and enjoying my football and I am glad to be here.”
