John Pritchard: We are half way through the preseason games, how has the squad looked so far?
Ashley Wells: Yeah all the boys have come back in good shape apart from Thommo, he always comes back heavy so you know he enjoys his time off. The intensity of training and the standard is very good its a very strong squad alot of competition for places.
JP: Yeah definitely, the squad is coming along very nicely now also! We now have the home friendlies too look forward too, it’s going to be nice to play again at the Bob Lucas as the last time, we lifted the trophy!
AW: Yeah cannot wait to be back there as the pitch is always so good and the fans create such an amazing atmosphere.
JP: We have gone unbeaten so far in preseason and the new players coming in have looked strong.
AW: Yeah all the new lads have fitted in very well to the team, we all get on and they are very good additions. The football we have been playing has been very good. People say don’t look at the result to much in pre season but I belive winning is a good habit to get into!
JP: Definitely, winning is of course a good habit and something the lads did well last season! On a personal note how are you feeling going into the new season?
AW: Yeah feeling good, I know that when I get a chance I have to take it as there is always someone who can step in. I’m excited though as it’s something new to me as in being a new league. Yeah we did know how to win, I think this year we will have to learn how to win ugly which I’m sure we are more than capable of.
JP: Yeah definitely, for everyone involved I think it was a delight when you got announced as staying! Well we go forward now onto the home friendlies and look forward to seeing you and the lads back at the Bob Lucas!
AW: It’s nice to be well liked and there would never be a reason for me to leave unless the club said that they didn’t want me!
