Match Preview

The Terras take on Eastbourne Borough at the Bob Lucas Stadium in the Vanarama National League South this afternoon.

Weymouth will be looking to get straight back to winning ways and they will be looking forward to getting back on home turf after three consecutive away games. In those away games, the points return wasn’t to be sniffed at. With lots of travel and having to prepare quickly for the next opposition, there will be understandable relief to be back home.

The Terras lost only their sixth game in the whole campaign on Wednesday night as they went down to an extremely harsh 3-2 defeat to Havant & Waterlooville. That is the second time that the Hawks have just about got the better of Weymouth this season. It ended a six-game unbeaten run but Weymouth still come into this game firmly in the play-offs. They will though want to cement that position by getting back to the winning feeling.

Eastbourne Borough have drawn their last five National South games and sit in 15th position in the league table. It won’t come as a surprise that they have the most draws in the league, the Terras also shared the points with Eastbourne away from home back in October.

Thoughts from the Manager

“It will be good to get back home after three gruelling away games. Eastbourne presents another tough challenge, they are a good side we will be ready for that. I’m sure everyone is looking forward to being back at the Bob Lucas Stadium.”
