Weymouth Football Club joins The National League in calling on Rt Hon Oliver Dowden CBE MP, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to urgently commit to allowing crowds of 1,000 into all National League grounds from the scheduled start of the season on Saturday 3rd October.

WFC has undertaken rigorous work to put in place protocols to ensure the safety of spectators at the Bob Lucas Stadium, which remains an essential priority. All clubs at non-league level heavily rely on paying spectators coming through turnstiles.

Along with the vast majority of non-league clubs, we feel that it is simply not possible for us to fulfil fixtures for a long period of time without paying supporters at matches.

We urge our supporters to contact their MP or The Secretary of State to express their own concerns.
