The Terras face 13th placed Eastleigh this Saturday at the Bob Lucas Stadium, their first game of the new year.

This is Weymouth’s second clash against the Spitfires in a week having played out a 0-0 draw on Boxing Day.

The Terras will play behind closed doors for the first time since the introduction of the governments tier system.

Brennan Camp will be available again having been out due to suspension.

Eastleigh have had a tight Christmas period. The Spitfires have had two 0-0 draws, and before that lost to Halifax 3-1. They are without a league win in five games, however the Terras have not won a league game in eight.

Former Terras player Abdulai Baggie now plies his trade with Saturday’s opposition. The midfielder, who had played over 100 times for Weymouth has scored one goal for his new side so far this season.

Eastleigh seem a tough side to score against, having kept a succession of clean sheets, however the Terras showed their ability to score goals in their last game. The home side netted three past league leaders Torquay, bringing the score back from 3-1 to 3-3. This before the away side netted the winner in the final minutes.

Thoughts from the manager:

When speaking to Echosport Brian Stock feels like he’s been able to research the Hampshire based side having only played them last week. “It’s fresh in everyone’s memories.” He then continued saying “I don’t think they’ll change too much.”
