The Terras return to the Bob Lucas Stadium this Saturday as they take on Hartlepool United in the National League.

The Terras are without a win in the league since their 2-1 victory over Stockport County on Halloween, however the new defensive partnership of Dominic Revan and Jacob Mensah are set to make their league debut on Saturday to provide defensive stability.
The Terras will have Jake McCarthy back from suspension as well as Christian Saydee, who returns following self isolation.

Hartlepool have won their last 4 games in a row, and before their last fixture against Wealdstone on the 9th, the 5 previous games before that had seen the referee brandish a red card for the opposing team. The monkey hangers currently sit second in the league and are full of confidence.
At the back Hartlepool have Gary Liddle. The stalwart is currently serving his second stint with the club. He has also featured for Bradford City. Luke Armstrong has been their star man, scoring 6 goals so far this season.

Despite the results of late, the Terras have had their best results and performances against the leagues table toppers, so the game will be a close affair.

Thoughts from the manager

Brian Stock is confident that his side can pick up points, despite the form of Hartlepool. Speaking to Echo Sport the Terras boss said “We raise our game against the top teams, but we still have to play teams in and around us.”

Despite their position in the league, Stock believes the points will come the Terras way. “We’ve still got 28 games left. There’s plenty of football to be played.”
