The Terras are back at the Bob Lucas Stadium this Saturday as they welcome Wealdstone.
Brian Stock’s side sit in 20th position following their midweek display away to Dagenham and Redbridge. The Terras held off the Daggers until just before half time when a moment of magic from Liam Gordon gave the home side the lead. Gordon ran from his own half before dispatching the ball past Ethan Ross. It took a similar act of brilliance for the Terras to find an equaliser. Jake McCarthy popped up in the box to volley home an equaliser in the 93rd minute to take a point back down south.
The last time the sides met was back in December when the Terras visited Grosvenor Vale. Ben Thomson took the lead for the Terras, netting a one-on-one in the 25th minute. Despite saves from Jack Bycroft, the Terras conceded either side of half time which killed the game off.
Wealdstone sit just one place above Weymouth in 19th place, 5 points above the Terras. Over their last 5 matches they have picked up 6 points, most recently losing 1-0 to Notts County last weekend. The Stones won their game prior to this, 3-1 against Kings Lynn. Jacob Mendy was on target then. The Gambian striker has 6 goals this season. Saturday’s opponents also have Arsenal loanee Joseph Oluwu in their ranks. Midfielder Alex Dyer has played Swedish and Norwegian top flight football before joining the Stones. The Monserrat international has featured for Ostersunds, Elfsborg as well as Lillstrom.
Although the Terras don’t need to fret on relegation, the team will see it as an opportunity to close the gap against a side that have not kept a clean sheet away from home all season.

Thoughts from the Manager
Before the game Brian Stock talked of his sides’ recovery from their consecutive away games; “Given the fact we’ve had two away games in the last two games in the last few games there’s been some tired legs amongst the group. The last week has consisted mainly of making sure those players recovered, also making sure the players that have played less minutes have worked hard. The Attitude amongst every player is terrific and all as a manager I could ask for.
Speaking about Saturday’s opponents, Stock said “Although recent away results haven’t gone their way they are going to be a very dangerous side to play against.”
Stock reflected on the last time the sides met saying “The game was fantastic for a mutual fan. End-to-end action. They’re a team who can create a lot of chances, but we’ll go into the game full of confidence coming off the back of a last minute equaliser against Dagenham. We’re looking to try and get three points and improve our home form.”
Stock spoke on the availability of his squad ahead of the game saying “Shields and Calvin have both come through this week with no injuries or concerns, so they have put themselves both in contention for the 16 man squad on Saturday.”
“Apart from that no other concerns, everyone else is fully fit and raring to go.”
