Weymouth Football Club are delighted to announce the signings of Nathan Carlyle on loan from Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season and also Matt Buse on a short term deal until the end of the season.

Nathan and Matt both link up with David Oldfield’s side ahead of this afternoon’s game. Carlyle will wear the number 28 shirt with Buse wearing number 24.

Defender Nathan Carlyle joined QPR back in 2017 from Millwall and made 20 appearances for the Under-18s. Nathan also spent time on loan at Concord Rangers in two separate spells, the first between December 2019 and April 2020, and the second spell for a month in September 2020.

This loan signing is sponsored by the Wessex Fantasy Football Scheme.

Midfielder Matt Buse rejoins the Terras on a short term deal until the end of the season following his exit from Wealdstone. Since his depature from Weymouth in 2016, Buse has spent time at Taunton Town, Bath City, Chippenham Town and Torquay United.

Matt made 14 appearances for Wealdstone in the National League this season scoring once against Grimsby Town.

David Oldfield: “We welcome both Nathan and Matt into the group this week. Both are young players, who are eager to drive their football onwards and we very much look forward to working with them. There is a challenge at Weymouth but also big opportunities and we hope we all can rise to the occasion.”

Weymouth FC would like to welcome Nathan and Matt to the club and wish them all the best during their time as a Terra!
