Weymouth Football Club are delighted to announce that midfielder Cameron Murray has extended his stay at the Bob Lucas Stadium, by signing a new one-year deal, subject to FA and league approval.

This new deal means that the Scot will enter his fourth season at the Bob Lucas Stadium. A popular member amongst teammates and fans, Murray’s qualities and his consistent performances on the field, are bound to be crucial, as the club looks for a positive campaign in the Vanarama National League South.

Murray joined Weymouth from neighbours Dorchester Town in 2019, was part of our back-to-back promotion winning side, and has made a total of 105 appearances for the Terras, scoring 7 and assisting 10 during his time at the club, with 2 goals scored last season, one against Maidenhead United in our 3-1 home victory and his second goal against Bromley in our 2-2 home draw.

Cameron Murray: “I’m pleased to have signed for the Terras again, in what I believe will be my 4th season with the club. But I’m firmly concentrating on this upcoming season and looking forward to the challenge which lies ahead. The work has already begun and the boys have looked sharp and are working hard in training. I look forward to seeing you all again soon!”

David Oldfield: “We’re delighted that Cameron has re-signed. He was a very important part of the group last season, very hardworking and committed to the cause of Weymouth FC. He has lots of qualities and a huge amount of energy and good quality on and off the ball, which can still have the potential to get even better and we’re very happy to work with him next season.”

Weymouth Football Club would like to congratulate Cameron on signing a new deal and wish him success for next season!
