Weymouth Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of defender Nathan Carlyle on a one year deal, subject to FA and league approval!

21 year-old Nathan Carlyle joins from Queens Park Rangers, after his contract expired with the Hoops. During his time at QPR, Carlyle spent time at Concord Rangers on loan between December 2019 and April 2020 and then again in September 2020. Carlyle joined the Terras in March 2022 on loan until the end of the season and made his debut in our away fixture against Torquay United. Overall, Carlyle made a total of 7 appearances, scoring once, a thumping volley into the top corner against Barnet in our final home fixture of last season.

Nathan Carlyle: “I’m happy to announce I’m back here at Weymouth. I really enjoyed my time here last season on loan and I knew after speaking with the gaffer that this was the right place for me to come and play my football. I’m very much looking forward to a great season and me and the boys are fully locked in and working towards that”.

David Oldfield: “Nathan is another signing that we are delighted to welcome to Weymouth FC. We saw close hand last season his qualities and character that will undoubtedly strengthen us and help the group. He adds to the growing squad that needs to be competitive in a very competitive league. We are in a rebuilding process here and to add a player of Nathan’s calibre will help show our desire to work very hard as a club and a football group to try to win football matches. Welcome Nathan!”

Everyone at Weymouth Football Club would like to welcome Nathan back to the club and wish him every success for the upcoming season.
