We can confirm the departure of forward Matty Burrows, who has made his loan move at AFC Totton permanent for an undisclosed fee.

Matty Burrows made a total of 5 appearances for the club before joining Southern League Division One South side AFC Totton on loan in November. During his loan spell, he’s made an important contribution to the Stags’ attack, scoring 5 times, prompting Totton to make an offer to sign Matty permanently.

Manager Bobby Wilkinson: “Matty is a fantastic boy who has a really bright future, however we received a fantastic offer from Totton which was just too good to turn down. As a club, we feel we have enough depth in that forward area with Ahkeem, Brad, Thommo, who will be coming back soon, and Josh so we have made the decision to let him leave. We all wish him all the very best for the future.”

Everybody at Weymouth Football Club would like to thank Matty for his contribution for the Terras. We wish him and his family the very best for the future.
