This week, we sat down with Euan Pollock behind-the-scenes.

Scroll down to find out his closest teammates, the hardest opponent he’s ever faced, and more…

I’ve really enjoyed being a Terra.

I knew Mark and a lot of the players before coming here, and I’d had a really good relationship with them all. Obviously it’s not been the easiest start to the season, but we’ve found a bit of form now and we’re all relaxed.

I’ve known Mark since I was 15.

This was from being in the AFC Bournemouth academy. I think he’s always liked the look of me, and I love his style of play as a manager. When he asked me to come at the end of last season, it was something I was very keen to do.

Signing for Weymouth has given me the familiarity that I need.

It’s close to my home, I have a lot of friends in Weymouth and I know the ground inside-out. Following a tricky year at Bournemouth, I have a great opportunity here to get my career back to where I know it can be.

There’s a huge togetherness in the squad.

As soon as I walked into the changing room, I could tell the lads got on really well. I could also tell there was competition for places, which is a good thing. It shows that everyone is working hard in training and wants to be in the team. There’s a lot of experienced players, like Brandon and Josh, but there’s a lot of young players like myself who are looking forward to the challenge ahead.

I signed with Ben and Brooklyn at the same time.

These are people I’ve known ever since we were at Bournemouth together, Ben being someone I lived with for a long time. We had a lot of fun together in digs.

It’s great to have my mates alongside me here; I’ve managed to build a relationship with them on the pitch, as well as off it. They’re great players and great people, too.

Unsurprisingly, Calvin is the biggest character.

He’s a very funny guy and someone I get on with. He likes to wind you up, that’s for sure!

But, you need a player like that in the team. Someone who isn’t afraid to give a bit of stick.

The hardest opponent I’ve ever faced is:

Levi Colwill. This was when I was 15 or 16, when I faced Chelsea for Bournemouth. I couldn’t get past him. His off-the-ball intelligence stood out. He tracked every run I made. He didn’t give me an inch!

The gaffer has stuck by us all season.

Even when things weren’t going so well, he was reassuring us that we were working hard and our moment would come. Now we’re on a good run, so it’s up to us to keep that going and get some points on the board.

We’re all looking forward to tomorrow’s game.

Everyone is in on the game plan. We all respect Worthing, they probably should’ve gone up last season, but we know what we need to do. A packed Bob Lucas Stadium will certainly help us; when the crowd gets behind us we can use that to our advantage.
