A festive message from Weymouth FC Chairman, Ian White
I’d like to wish Terras fans all around the world a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year.
2021 has been a tough one for everybody, on and off the pitch, but everyone at the club is extremely grateful for the continued support of our faithful fans.
The Board and I have always insisted on living within our means and will continue to do so, and in these difficult times that has meant ever more reliance on the excellent work of our commercial department attracting top notch national companies like Dormeo, Plumbstop, Delta, South Coast Traffic Management Ltd and Britlift to whom we are extremely grateful as we are to all our sponsors at every level.
A mention must also go to our travel partners Bluebird Coaches as we complete another successful season on the road.
The WFCSA are also making a major contribution in our journey and have been a key part to the success we have achieved and will continue to be as we move forward.
This season there are more ex-league “big” clubs than ever before in the Vanarama National League and many full time teams with huge budgets, but we will do all that is affordably possible to stay in this league. The Board and I will continue to support Brian with everything in our means so that we can establish Weymouth FC once again as a force at the highest levels of non-league football and beyond.
It has been greatly pleasing to see the continued development of our Youth, Under 23’s and Women’s teams and also our recent partnership with local schools to offer coaching and encourage reading with player visits etc.
Thank you to all our volunteers and match day staff, without whom we couldn’t open the turnstiles.
So once again, I’d like to wish you a Merry Christmas everyone, and hopefully a Happy and Prosperous New Year for the Terras, and for Terras fans everywhere.
