Weymouth Football Club are thrilled to announce that our captain Tom Bearwish has signed a new contract with the club, keeping him at the Bob Lucas Stadium until the end of the 2023-24 season!
Tom has made a total of 79 appearances for the club since signing for the club in the summer of 2021. A popular member of the squad, Tom has played a vital part in a number of different positions in a Terras shirt, scoring a total of 8 times and recording 6 assists. Bearwish became club captain earlier this season as chosen by manager Bobby Wilkinson.
Manager Bobby Wilkinson: “I’m delighted that Tom will be staying with us. We have been in discussions for the last two weeks and I’m thrilled that Tom will continue on this journey together. Tom is crucial for what I want to build at this club. He’s the captain, he’s the leader and we both want to drive this club forward together to bring success back to Weymouth Football Club.”
Bobby would also like to thank CEO Paul Maitland for assisting with this deal and his constant support for helping to get Tom’s contract over the line.
