Andy Dallas’ brace fired the Terras to their second consecutive win in a row, beating Aldershot 2-0 at the EBB stadium on Tuesday night.

Brian Stock named an unchanged side that beat Hartlepool 1-0 on Saturday.

Ethan Ross was called into action in the 3rd minute. A long throw in was met by a Shots striker, with Ross acrobatically punching the ball over the bar.

Andy Dallas had an effort in the 7th minute for the away side. The striker was played through by Joan Luque. Dallas forced the keeper to make a vital save.

5 minutes later Weymouth took the lead. Sean Shields corner was cleared by the first man. Josh McQuoid slid the ball to Sean Shields who whipped a ball back in first time with Andy Dallas glancing a downward header past the Aldershot keeper.

Then 17 minutes in Ben Walker palmed the ball out of the reach of Andy Dallas outside the area following a deadly ball over the top by Shields. Referee Lloyd Wood produced a straight red card. Substitute Brad James had to palm Jake McCarthy’s free kick from the foul.

Sean Shields was lively for the Terras. The tricky winger drew himself space for a shot inside the area, however James was there to parry it away.

Shields put the ball in the net in the Terras but the referee ruled out the goal. Luque’s cross from the right picked out Shields who touched it past the goalkeeper. The winger stumbled before tapping it on when the referee blew his whistle.

Dallas had almost got the second for the Terras in the 35th minute. Harfield squared the ball to Shields, who was waiting in the the centre of the pitch. His control laid the ball into Dallas whose snatched shot with his left boot was collected by James.

Dallas made Weymouth’s dominance count in the 41st minute. The striker bagged his brace making the most of a slip by defender Alex Finney. Dallas was then one on one and coolly slot it past James.

Aldershot came out the better side in the second half. One of their attackers performed a bicycle kick, directed straight at Ross.

Mo Bettamer played through Jermaine Anderson with a first time through ball in the 64th minute. Ethan Ross came off his line quickly to cut out any threat to his goal.

Aldershot almost got a goal back in the 86th minute. The header was cleared off the line by a Weymouth player in a crowded area.

Calvin Brooks charged forward in the 88th minute. The right back fired a shot with his right boot across the goal, but the ball fizzed just over the bar.

Weymouth shut the game out, keeping late Aldershot pressure at bay. This was Brian Stock’s second consecutive win and clean sheet.
