A hardworking and versatile midfielder, Matt Neale brings experience, composure and an outstanding work ethic to the Weymouth FC squad. Comfortable operating in central midfield, an advanced role or from the left-hand side, Matt is recognised for his intelligence on the ball and his ability to influence games in both attack and defence.

A product of the AFC Bournemouth academy, Matt has built an impressive non-league career with spells at Wimborne Town, Poole Town, Dorchester Town and Winchester City before making the move to the Bob Lucas Stadium in 2026. Throughout his career he has earned a reputation as a consistent performer, combining technical quality with determination and professionalism.

Equally capable of creating opportunities or putting in the hard work off the ball, Matt’s energy, vision and tactical awareness make him a valuable asset in midfield. His versatility allows him to adapt to a variety of roles, giving the Terras strength and flexibility across the pitch.

Now continuing his career under Jamie Wells, Matt is determined to make a lasting impact in claret and blue. His experience, leadership and commitment to the team make him an important member of the squad as Weymouth looks to build on its ambitions for the future.
