Jewson Wessex Combination champions Weymouth Reserves kicked-off their warm-up games with a 2-1 victory at Hamworthy United.
Kyle Critchell put the young Terras ahead, with their second coming courtesy of an own goal. The Elite Dorset Premier side pulled one back from the penalty spot late on.
Weymouth boss Dave Kiteley said: “It was a good work out against a decent, well-organised side and I was pleased with the way it went. The boys have kept themselves fit during the summer and I was particularly impressed with Danny Cullen who has joined us following spells with Portland and Weymouth Sports.”
