Toby Redwood finally signed on the dotted line for the Terras today in Cambridge, scene of his new club’s latest victory.
The “will he, won’t he” saga was concluded when Toby decided that the Dr. Martens Premier Division outfit offered a greater challenge than the Ryman League.
Redwood said that he enjoys a challenge and, with Basingstoke in mid-table mediocrity and Weymouth in the relegation zone, the greater challenge lay with the Dorset side. “I look forward to rising to that challenge”.
Weymouth’s next opponents on their league agenda are Leicestershire strugglers, Hinckley United, and Redwood will be fit for that game, if he can get into a winning side.
