SPORTING legends will take to the pitch at the Wessex Stadium for a star-studded tournament.
Ex-professional legends like David Seaman, John Barnes, Ian Rush, Bryan Robson, Tony Cottee, Alan Kennedy and Gazza are lined up to play seven-aside games.
Matthew Le Tissier has also been touted as a possible name to join the event.
The Terras will invite former players from Yeovil and Bournemouth to come and play alongside Weymouth legends in the resort’s very own masters tournament held over one day.
The event will feature a club fun and community day, which gives the fans a chance to come and meet the players and officials.
Promoter Lester Holcombe said: “The tournament will give fans’ the chance to meet, talk to and see their favourite players in action at a relaxed and fun day.
“Weymouth Football Club chairman Martyn Harrison’ has demonstrated his commitment to Weymouth by bringing together a world-class line up.
“These international footballers will put the town on the map as a centre of entertainment and events and at the same time raise funds to help make Terras the successful club the town wants it to be.”
Mr Harrison said: “We have got live entertainment like donkey rides, side shows, Dorchester Carnival Band will play – the whole day is going to be like carnival day.”
The Wessex Masters and International Legends football tournament is on Sunday, July 3, from Ham till 7pm.
Tickets cost £12 for adults and £5 for children under 15.
