TERRAS’ chief Jason Matthews has spoken out over a heated moment that ensued late on during his side’s 1-1 draw against St Neots Town on Saturday.
An altercation between Weymouth’s Jordan Copp and Saints’ Ben Jones saw the latter given a second booking for a challenge on Copp, who received a straight red for his reaction.
Giving his view, Matthews told Echosport: “The ball was going out, he (Copp) got pushed over and he got stood on.
“That’s how I saw it. They fronted each other up and Coppy has grabbed him.
“That inadvertently led to the incident and I can’t really condone Coppy’s behaviour. He was really upset about it.”
He added: “I feel that the referee got a few decisions wrong in a 10-minute period and that led to both sides getting frustrated.

“There is no point in dwelling on it, we have to move on.”
Following their point against the Saints, Weymouth are up to fifth in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division with 39 points from 23 games.
