JASON Matthews insists the mood in the Weymouth camp is “very positive at the moment” as they go in search of back-to-back home wins tomorrow.
Stratford Town are the visitors to the Bob Lucas Stadium (3pm) with the Terras seven points off the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division play-off spots.
And player-boss Matthews is fully aware that only maximum points will do if they are to keep their push for the top five going.
“Without putting pressure on ourselves we do need to win our home games and it’s as simple as that,” he told Echosport.
“We have probably left ourselves with a little bit to do in our quest to make the play-offs but the camp is very positive at the moment.
“We need to take the game to Stratford and it’s almost a must-win game.”
Asked about the current make-up of his squad, Matthews added: “There have been a couple of departures in the last couple of weeks that probably did need to happen and we needed to freshen things up a little bit.
“We have a couple of irons in the fire with a couple of seven-day notices of approach for people. Hopefully we can bolster our squad.”
Jake Wannell has been suffering with illness this week but Chris Shephard was set to be back in training with the Terras last night. Luke Winsper may also feature in the Weymouth squad tomorrow.
