STEWART Yetton insists the Terras “will still be positive” going into their crucial run-in, as they look to bounce back from two defeats over the Easter weekend.
Losses against Hitchin and Poole Town in their last two outings has seen the Terras slip six points adrift of the play-off spots in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division, with just six league games of the season remaining.
But the Weymouth club captain remains adamant that his side can still sneak into a position to extend their campaign, and is hopeful they can put a winning run together.
“We will still be positive and it is still all to play for,” he told Echosport.
“We have a winnable game on Saturday (against Frome Town), we need to win on Saturday and then take it from there.
“I don’t think we have got anything to fear as such.
“I still think it’s all to play for and some of the results have gone okay for us. We still probably need to win five out of six really.
“We just have to knuckle down and get some wins.”
Giving his thoughts on the loss to the Dolphins, Yetton, who came on in place of Jordan Copp with just under 15 minutes to go in the 1-0 home defeat on Monday, added: “I thought we played well in spurts but it was a game with probably not many chances.
“I don’t think either keeper had many saves to make.
“At the end they were always just going to defend, get numbers behind the ball and slow the game down.
“Obviously we left it fairly late to go 4-4-2 and get something to Sillsy (Tim Sills), but I think the boys played fairly well — it’s fine margins”
