JASON Matthews believes his side are odds-on favourites for their FA Cup clash against Paulton Rovers at the Bob Lucas Stadium tomorrow (3pm).
The player-manager feels his side have the advantage but he is wary of Paulton’s threats.
Speaking ahead of the game, Matthews said: “We’re the favourites every time we play at home.
“These are the sort of games, as a footballer, you want to play in. You shouldn’t need any motivation and it would be fantastic to have a run in the FA Cup.”
The Terras will be without Dean Evans and Chris Shephard (knee, while Calvin Brooks serves his suspension after getting sent off against Chesham United last weekend.
Also, Charlie Davis is set for a fitness test before the game.
Speaking about how his side will play, the boss added: “It might take us 60 or 70 minutes (to get the breakthrough). They will be set up to be hard to beat.
“But, we have some great attacking force in the likes of Ben Thomson, Sam Jordan and Stewart Yetton, so we should be looking to score some goals.”
Dan Thomas will continue for the Terras in goal as Matthews is set to name his strongest side for the game, knowing the importance of a cup run.
“Any extra income is always welcome and it can help with things off the pitch.
“Also, if we do have a good run then I know the chairman will let me strengthen the squad further.”
