WEYMOUTH went goal crazy on Saturday as they swept aside Farnborough by six goals to nil in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier.
Two goals from Brandon Goodship plus further strikes from Jake McCarthy, Harry Baker, Ben Thomson and Abdulai Baggie saw The Terras reach the 60-point mark after what was a good afternoon’s work.
“I thought it was a thoroughly professional performance,” manager, Mark Molesley told theterras.com. “The boys showed a lot of belief in themselves because people who were not at the last game [against Dunstable] probably questioned us losing to a team near the bottom of the division on that occasion.
“But we still had confidence and belief in ourselves; we just needed a quick reaction to get three points because we are at that stage of the season where points matter, so there is no good putting in good performances if you are not getting the points.
“It was important we reacted quickly and took three points which I was pleased with.
“The boys have worked their socks off; we created numerous chances and I think that has been the story of our season. I do not think there are too many times where our team has not created much. So overall I was really pleased with the performance.
“It was a real good team display. They stuck together, defended resolutely, were creative in midfield and had good finishing up front.
“From a manager’s point of view to get a clean sheet, three points and to get the amount of goals is a good afternoon.”
