WEYMOUTH played host to their second annual youth tournament over the weekend, with a range of ages participating at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
The tournament featured teams from Weymouth up to New Milton, as well as a couple of Bournemouth Poppies teams.
The tournament was open to any team and Terras’’ director Josh Barton said that feedback was all positive.
Barton said: “It was absolutely fantastic, it was fantastic for the football club and it was fantastic for the youth section that has come on leaps and bounds.
“Full credit has to go to our Michelle Luckes and Paul Tapper, our youth chairman and youth secretary, they have done a fantastic job.
“Just to see the enjoyment from the children and the parents as well, which is equally important, was brilliant to see.”
“Hosting it at the Bob Lucas Stadium is brilliant for us.
“The weather was kind to us, just the fact it ran so smoothly all of the credit has to go to the volunteers.”
Barton helped with the PA announcements alongside under-14s manager Martin Underhay and volunteered as a director of the club.
Ages ranged from under-7s, under-8s and under-9s on the Saturday, and in the afternoon there was the under-10s and under-11s.
On the Sunday, the under-12s and under-13s sections had their turn in the sunshine.
