WEYMOUTH boss Mark Molesley insists Harry Baker remains a “massive player” for the Terras with the striker sealing a one-month loan deal to Evo-Stik Southern Premier South rivals Frome Town.
Baker scored 19 goals for Weymouth in a dazzling debut season at the club, having joined from Gillingham Town.
Molesley beamed with praise for the forward, stating he had been a “fantastic find” for the Bob Lucas Stadium outfit.
He told Echosport: “Harry is a massive player for us. He’s done fantastically well last year, probably better than most people thought he was going to do – we certainly didn’t.
“He’s come from a lower league and hit the ground running. He’s been a fantastic find for us as a club.
“We just felt that we’ve got a big, strong squad this year and, at times, players might need to go and just top up their minutes and keep their match sharpness.
“He’s worked so hard in pre-season and the last thing I want him to do is de-condition on the bench for too many games.
“He’s out there to get match fitness and come back razor sharp ready for us to play because he’s a big part of this football club.”
Meanwhile, midfielder Liam Farrugia has signed dual registration forms with Bashley to continue his “development path”.
Molesley said: “Liam has been around with us now for a while and we see real potential.
“He’s out there to earn his stripes, play men’s football and continue on his development path with us.”
