Weymouth Football Club are delighted to announced that Ben Thomson has signed an extension with the Terras.

The popular long-serving forward has agreed terms to remain with Weymouth for the 2021/22 season, which will see him reunited with former strike partner Brandon Goodship.

Thomson joined the Terras from Frome Town at the start of the 2015/16 season and played an integral part in the club’s back-to-back promotions.

Nearing 250 appearances for Weymouth, Thomson scored the final league goal of the Southern League winning season and the first two in Weymouth’s return to the National League South, he scored his first goal in the National League away to Wealdstone last season.

On Thomson’s extension, Paul Maitland told uptheterras.co.uk, “Thommo has played a major part in putting us where we are today, last season was a difficult year for him with Covid and injury causing his season to be stop-start.

“We look forward to him showing the National League what he is all about.”
