Weymouth Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Calum Ward on a season-long youth loan from AFC Bournemouth.

The stopper signed his first professional contract with the Cherries this summer and will now link up with Mark Molesley at Bob Lucas Stadium.

18-year-old Ward is available to begin the Terras’ Vanarama National League South campaign and we hope he can follow in the footsteps of previous loan keepers Mark Travers and Will Dennis.

Also joining the clubs goalkeeping department is former Poole Town and Hamworthy Utd goalkeeper Tom Rees who adds to the competition for places alongside Mark Childs and Calum Ward.
