John Pritchard: Going into the start of the new season in a new league as the new captain, how does that feel?

Josh McQuoid: It’s a privilege to be named captain of this top bunch of lads. Especially going into the league above. So it’s going to be an exciting challenge for us all.

JP: We got very unlucky last year as you picked up a horrible injury and put you out for along time, how are you feeling personally, feeling ready to get going?

JM: Personally for me last season couldn’t really of gone any worse. I was so desperate to get back as quickly as possible to help the team that I may have rushed it and picked up little injuries on the way back which kept me out even longer. So this pre-season I’ve managed my body a lot better and am feeling fresh. There are a lot of games in the first month so we will need everyone as fit as possible.

JP: We have got such a strong squad going into the season and everyone is looking fit and hungry, are you confident in the team and how everyone is shaping up already?

JM: The team is looking very strong! There is healthy competition for places, so everyone is going to have to be at their best to keep their place.

JP: Yeah definitely, I’m sure the fans will admit it’s one of the best teams we have seen in a while, the team chemistry is next to none! Have you set any targets going into the season?

JM: Yeah we’ve obviously come up with a strong squad and the new additions have made us even stronger. Personally I always have targets I set myself, but I just keep them to myself. As a team we know we are maybe seen as an underdog which will suit us well because I’m sure we will surprise a few people and won’t stay underdogs for too long!
