Stephane Zubar has said that the Weymouth squad are looking to go as far as they can in this season’s FA Cup.
The experienced central-defender was part of a Terras backline who kept their third clean sheet in their last four games as Weymouth ran out 3-0 winners at Sholing.
The win sees Weymouth through to the third qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup, which will be drawn today at 1:30 pm.
Weymouth last made the third qualifying round during the 2017/18 season, where they were narrowly defeated 2-1 at Chelmsford City.
Despite the convincing 3-0 scoreline, Zubar admitted the conditions weren’t ideal and that he was pleased to knock out a difficult Sholing side.
Speaking after the game, Zubar told theterras.com “I’m very pleased with the result, 3-0 and a clean sheet so we couldn’t ask for a better result, we are very happy with the result.
“It was job done, it was a tough pitch to play on and it was a bit hot and windy, so it wasn’t the best conditions to play in.
“We want to go as far as we can, we’re ready for it; we have a big squad who all want to play. We just have to think about the next game now and we’ll see what can happen.
“It would be great if we could play at home in the next round”
