WEYMOUTH first-team coach Brad Asagba felt Pat Suraci showed “great composure” in notching the Terras’ second goal against Poole on Tuesday.

Suraci’s strike added to a Brett Williams penalty as Weymouth made the Dorset Senior Cup semi-finals with a 2-0 win.

His second career Weymouth goal comes just a week after re-joining the Terras from Gosport.

Speaking to theterras.com, Asagba said: “He was superb. He’s not had too much football over the last month or so and I think he was feeling it in the last five minutes.

“He’s worked hard, acquitted himself really well and he’s a bit more familiar to the way we do things than some of the other lads that were out there.

“It wasn’t like he’s come from nowhere, he’s been training with us for a while and he’s had a stint before.

“It was great composure for the goal, so we’re delighted to give him 90 minutes.”

Weymouth travel to Dorking in league action today (3pm).
