Match Preview
Weymouth travel to Barnet. The Terras will be looking to qualify for the next round of the Buildbase FA Trophy at the Hive Stadium on Saturday.
Weymouth come into this game having been defeated in the league for the first team since August last weekend. A determined Dorking Wanderers team picked up a narrow 1-0 win and the Terras will admit that they were slightly off it on a rare occasion at the weekend. The Terras had their midweek trip to Hemel postponed so they will be itching to get back out on the pitch.
Weymouth may well consider this game as a bit of a free hit. There are no league points up for grabs and they will go up against a team in the league above away from home. Having said that, Weymouth will rightfully fancy their chances of getting a result.
Barnet have plenty of pedigree and they play their football at the Hive, arguably one of the more modern stadiums in non-league football. They have picked up form of late and go into this game having beaten Fylde 2-1 live on BT Sport. They sit 10th in the National League.
Thoughts from the Manager
“It’s a game we’re really excited for. These are the games we want. We want to test ourselves against the best teams and Barnet are certainly going to be our toughest game of the season.”
