Match Preview
The Terras take on Braintree Town at Cressing Road in the Vanarama National League South this afternoon.
It’s three wins in a row for Weymouth coming into this game. Mark Molesley’s team is in red hot form and moved into third in the table after a 1-0 away win against Hemel Hempstead Town on Tuesday.
Apart from a harsh 1-0 defeat to Havant on New Year’s Day, Weymouth have had an unbeaten January and currently sit 2nd in the form guide table. The away form has drastically improved with the Terras losing just one away game in ten. They will be hoping to continue that form by picking up their fourth away win on the bounce.
Braintree are another team that blows hot and cold. They have picked up some brilliant results and they have also had some shockers if we are being honest. They have had one win and four defeats from their five points in January and they sit 17th in the table.
Last time out back at the Bob Lucas Stadium back in October, Weymouth ran out 3-0 winners.
Thoughts from the Manager
“We fancy our chances in every game, but Braintree are a good side on their day. They have hit a few teams hard this season and beat them quite comfortably in the end. As I’ve said before. there’s no easy games in this league and it’s going to be a hard game.”
