Match Preview
The Terras take on Billericay Town at the Bob Lucas Stadium in the Vanarama National League South tomorrow.
Weymouth will be looking to further cement their position in the National League South playoff places as they take on Jamie O’Hara’s Billericay. The Terras come into this game after a dramatic 3-2 win at Hampton & Richmond Borough.
Billericay have had a very stop-start season and have seemingly found it very hard to get any sort of run going. They currently sit 2 points above the drop zone. With such a turbulent season in terms of ownership of the club and pitch issues, it is easy to see why tomorrow’s visitors have had their struggles. They do have some good players in their ranks and as ever, Weymouth will have done their homework.
Mark Molesley’s team currently sit 5th, that’s after Bath City won their game in hand at Maidstone in the week. There is no doubting that Weymouth are in a very strong position, they are 12 points clear of 8th placed Hampton. With 11 games to go, it is important to keep the run going and continue to gain points. Home games may well be vital as we near the run-in; Weymouth have 2 home games on the bounce as Maidstone visit next weekend.
Thoughts from the Manager
“We’re at that stage of the season now where you’ve got to keep your cool and try and be as consistent as you can. We’ve got to keep our feet on the ground and keep fully focusing on our processes, which has served us quite well so far.”
