It’s back to the Cup again for the Terras as they take on Maidenhead in the FA Trophy at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
Weymouth may be without Sean Shields and Ben Thomson who were both injured in the 3-2 defeat to Wrexham. These two add to the already high injury list.
Maidenhead also ply their trade in the National League. They currently sit in 9th place, and on equal points as Saturday’s opponents Wrexham.
The side have only won one game in their last five and have not played for a week. They lost 2-1 in their last fixture away to Torquay United.
Former West Ham and England star Alan Devonshire manages the side and has a range of talent at his disposal. They have a Montserrat international in James Comley. The former Crystal Palace man has played over 100 times for the side from Berkshire.
The club’s goalkeepers come on loan from Premier League sides. Taye Ashby-Hammond comes on loan from Fulham and Joshua Oluwayemi comes on loan from another London side, Tottenham Hotspur.
The last time the two sides played each other was back in 2009, with the Magpies thumping the Terras 5-0. Brian Stock’s side will be hoping that history doesn’t repeat itself.
Thoughts from the manager
When speaking to Echosport earlier this week Stock wanted to make amends after the Terras shock Cup exit to Oxford City in the FA Cup earlier this season. “I was disappointed about the FA Cup tie against Oxford.”
The boss is hungry for success and said: “I want to win every game of Football and the FA Trophy is no different.”
