After recently re-signing for the 2018/19 season, Tiago Sa spoke to theterras.com at today’s Pre-Season training session.

Theterras.com: You’ve re-signed for next season for the Terras, it’s obviously going to be a big campaign for yourself and the rest of the team

TS: I’m delighted to have signed for next season, I’ve enjoyed my last two years here and I feel like since I’ve come here I’ve developed my football. I feel like this season could be a big season for me.

Theterras.com: Last season you were in the team for a long period of time, do you aim now to try and keep your place in the side?

TS: My aim for the season is to try and make my place in the starting eleven, to try and help the team as I feel we can achieve something this season.

Theterras.com: Pre-Season can be quite difficult for the players, it’s hot today and it’s all about getting yourself fine tuned for the start of the new season isn’t it?

TS: Pre-Season is always tough, but once you get through the first couple of weeks and training sessions you start to feel better and your body will be ready for when the season starts.

Theterras.com: In the Pre-Season sessions that Mark Molesley and his coaching staff deliver there is a real level of intensity.

TS: Today we got the footballs out and I feel that is a good way to get your fitness up. When you play matches you got to be able to play and keep your control when you’re tired.

Theterras.com: It’s early days, but have you been impressed with the new guys who have come in?

TS: They have made the squad stronger and makes us a big threat for when the league starts.
