On behalf of the club, Terras Manager Brian Stock was pleased to hand over a cheque to Soul Food – The Prayerhouse of Weymouth who support rough sleepers in the local area.
A team of volunteers from the Prayerhouse began feeding the rough sleepers and the vulnerably housed of Weymouth & Portland. The service they offer has now grown from two hot meals a week, to four, plus showers, clothes, a Nurse Practitioner, a Community Mental Health Team access worker and their own Outreach Worker.
They are able to offer support in many areas: housing, health, mental health and advocacy.
