Daniel Howell: Josh thanks for joining us for a chat, you must be pleased with not only a win on Saturday but a goal as well?

Josh McQuoid: Yes very pleased. We needed that win! It was good to get the goal but the 3 points were the main thing.

Daniel Howell: Along with the three points came a clean sheet, are you happy with how the new defensive additions have gelled so quickly with the rest of the squad?

Josh McQuoid: They are all good lads and have settled in straight away and were a big part of us getting the clean sheet. The work rate from the whole team got us the result so we need to keep to them standards now!

Daniel Howell: In the recent weeks we have seen a number of arrivals, how has it been as captain to make sure they build good relationships with the rest of the squad?

Josh McQuoid: We’ve got a good honest changing room full of good lads, so for the new lads I think it’s been quite easy for them to settle in. I know myself it can be hard coming into a new dressing room but everyone settled in nicely.

Daniel Howell: With the current situation with so much uncertainty, does this impact how you prepare for each game?

Josh McQuoid: Not really no. We can’t worry about anything else that we can’t control, so we just prepare and do things right like we always would.

Daniel Howell: I spoke to Brian Stock last week about how the players from the Southern Premier squad have adapted to life in the National League Premier. Do you feel your previous experience at higher levels has helped others make this step?

Josh McQuoid: I’m not too sure. I just try to lead by example in the way I train and play. When I first came to the club I thought a lot of lads here should be playing higher anyway so it’s no surprise to me they have had no problem settling in.

Daniel Howell: We have seen the arrival of a few new forwards this season which has seen you switch into a deeper position, how has it been adapting to this role?

Josh McQuoid: I’ve played a few different roles this season. I’ve never really played centre mid so that was a new one to me but I quite enjoyed it in there. I’m just happy to play where ever the gaffer wants me.

Daniel Howell: You’re still finding the net with 6 goals in all competitions, are you pleased with your performances in front of goal following the Terras first spell back in the National League Premier?

Josh McQuoid: I’m happy with my return so far, it’s something I needed to improve on from last season I felt. So hopefully it continues and helps us get some more points on the board.

Daniel Howell: With the Terras picking up three points on Saturday how important is it that you build from that result?

Josh McQuoid: We’ve set a standard for ourselves now and we need to make sure we stay there. We know it’s going to be hard work but we’ve shown we can do it so it’s going to be a big boost going into the next few games.

Daniel Howell: Tomorrow we travel to Aldershot, a former club of yours, how do you feel going into this fixture?

Josh McQuoid: I’m looking forward to the game but I’ll just be treating it as any other normal game.
