As pre-season begins to get underway, we caught up with Brandon Goodship to talk about his return to the Terras.

uptheterras.co.uk: Pre-Season has started. How important is the preparation as we build towards the new season?

Brandon Goodship: I’m buzzing to be back! Pre-Season is always massively important to get yourself going again and meet all your new team mates. We’ve just returned and it’s been very good and professional!

uptheterras.co.uk: How did you feel when you received such a positive reaction from the supporters when your re-signing was announced?

BG: The reaction meant a lot to me. Obviously I’ve got very fond memories of my time at Weymouth the time around and I’m hoping to make this time just as successful. But the messages I had was overwhelming.

uptheterras.co.uk: The fixtures were released this week. Was there any fixture in the calendar that you were looking out for in particular?

BG: The first fixture is the one I always look out for and it’s nice that we get to start at home in front of our fans and hopefully a packed out Bobby L!

uptheterras.co.uk: As you say, we start at home to Boreham Wood. You must be looking forward to getting back out in front of the Bob Lucas Stadium crowd?

BG: The atmosphere at the Bob Lucas was always really special, especially in my last game for the club where we won the league. It was a big factor in me returning to the club and I’m hoping we can have more days like that!

uptheterras.co.uk: Is football coming home?

BG: What a question, yes! Of course football is coming home, you’ve got to believe and support that’s all part of it! However, whatever happens tonight, the national team have brought so much joy and happiness to our country with how far they’ve got after such a difficult year for everybody! So in my eyes whatever the outcome they should be incredibly proud of what they’ve done!
