After Saturday’s game with Boreham Wood we would like to make the following statement to our supporters:

The Board of Directors over the summer have had to make some tough decisions in order to move the club forward to sustain our current position. We fully accept not all these decisions have or may be popular but they have been made with the best intentions.

On Saturday some of you had issues around ticketing, these issues are being carefully considered and improvements will be made to speed up the process of entering the ground. We understand the frustrations we feel them as well.

Just to clarify an adult ticket is £18, if it is bought online in advance we offer a reduction to £16.

We will be aiming to have more turnstiles open and additional signage to point you in the right direction as well as physical bodies on the ground to help with any queries. The new system will take time to bed in but it will and we ask for a little bit of patience and understanding whilst we get to grips with it.

As many of you will also have noticed the kiosks around the ground are currently shut and have been replaced with a catering van; by the time we play Notts County we are hoping to have an additional one operating on the Babs side of the ground. For next Monday’s Bank Holiday Fixture against Maidenhead United fixture, the kiosk on that side will be open with limited refreshments on sale.

The Matchday Bars are changing, we have just opened a new bar in the away end in order to meet requirements for segregated crowds. In addition to this bar we are working on opening another bar in the Downstairs Café to give supporters another option, and again, speed up the serving process.

At present we are short of staff, and whilst not making excuses, we are looking for matchday staff for a variety of roles. If you are interested and can help in any way please do contact the club on 01305 785558, you will be very welcome.

We hope this helps to clarify some of the points raised by supporters after Saturday and we are always open to discussion, ideas and solutions.
