We can confirm the departure of midfielder Omar Mussa to National League side Dagenham and Redbridge for an undisclosed fee, subject to FA approval.

Mussa joined the Terras last summer, following his release from Dover Athletic, and became an instant hit with his box-to-box play and technical ability on the ball. He was awarded Player of the Month for September 2021, as voted for by the fans.

The Belgian made 36 appearances for the Terras last season, scoring one goal, which came in our home win against King’s Lynn Town, and registering 4 assists.

Speaking on social media, Omar Mussa thanked those around the club for their support during his time with us: “To the Terras fans, I just wanna say thank you and to all the staff and everyone around the club that made me feel welcome here. The season didn’t end the way that I wanted it to, but I made some amazing memories with my teammates and the fans and I learnt a lot. Weymouth will always be a home for me. Thank you for everything. I will always be Weymouth’s number one fan.”

Weymouth Football Club would like to thank Omar for his contribution for the club and wish him all the very best for the future.
